How much CBD should I take as a beginner?

As a beginner with CBD, we recommend starting with a low dose of 5 to 10 mg per day. Observe the effect for 3 to 4 days and gradually increase the dose by 5 mg until the desired effect is achieved. Most beginners find their optimal dose between 10 and 25 mg per day.

How is the CBD dosage calculated for an oil?

For CBD oil, the dosage depends on the concentration. A 10 ml bottle with 10% CBD contains 1,000 mg of CBD. One drop corresponds to about 0.05 ml, which is approximately 5 mg of CBD for a 10% oil. Therefore, for 20 mg of CBD, you need 4 drops of a 10% oil. Our calculator automatically determines the exact number of drops.

Can you overdose on CBD?

A classic overdose, as with medications, is practically impossible with CBD. The WHO classifies CBD as safe. At very high doses (beyond 300 mg), side effects such as fatigue, diarrhea, or dry mouth may occur. Adhere to the recommended dosage and increase slowly.

How long does it take for CBD to work?

The onset time depends on the method of intake: CBD oil taken sublingually (under the tongue) acts within 15 to 45 minutes. CBD edibles and capsules require 1 to 2 hours as they must first pass through the digestive system. CBD flowers (vaporized) act almost immediately, within 1 to 5 minutes.

Should CBD be taken in the morning or evening?

It depends on your goal. For concentration and energy, a lower dose in the morning is suitable. For relaxation and sleep, we recommend taking it 30 to 60 minutes before bedtime. For pain relief, it may be wise to divide the intake into 2 to 3 doses throughout the day.

CBD oil dosage

With CBD oil, the dosage depends on the concentration. One drop corresponds to approx. 0,05 ml. With a 10% oil, each drop contains approx. 5 mg CBD. Place the oil under your tongue and hold it for 60–90 seconds before swallowing – this way the CBD is absorbed more quickly through the oral mucosa.

CBD flower dosage

CBD flowers have a high bioavailability when vaporized (up to 56%). The CBD content varies depending on the strain between 5% and 20%. When vaporized, CBD takes effect almost immediately, but the effect lasts a shorter time (2–3 hours) than with oral intake.

CBD edibles dosage

Edibles like gummy bears or chocolate provide a pre-dosed amount of CBD per piece. The bioavailability is lower (6–19%), but the effect lasts longer (4–6 hours). Note: it takes 1–2 hours for the effect to set in.

CBD capsules dosage

Capsules are ideal for an exact dosage without taste. They contain a fixed amount of CBD per capsule. As with edibles, it takes 1–2 hours for the effect to appear. Capsules are particularly suitable for regular daily intake.
